Binance ordered by Belgian regulator to suspend crypto services

According to Belgium’s Financial Services and Markets Authority, Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange globally, has been found to provide services from non-European economic area countries. The regulator stated that individuals and companies operating in Belgium, but not belonging to the European economic area, are prohibited from offering exchange services between virtual currencies and legal currencies, as well as custody wallet services. Kraken receives virtual asset service provider authorization in Ireland ahead of MiCA vote

U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Kraken received its virtual asset service provider authorization from the Central Bank of Ireland. Payward Europe Solutions, an Irish subsidiary of Kraken registered in Dublin, was awarded virtual asset service provider (VASP) authorization from the Central Bank of Ireland on April 18.
